Only in the mind of a toddler...

Have you ever thought of the cold air return as a good place to put grapes? Ethan thinks so... until he can't get them back out!

The count down has begun!

I am officially scheduled to have a c-section on February 18! That is just under three weeks away! Hard to believe that time has gone by so quickly. I have had a few extra ultrasounds this time around to check on baby girls growth, the most recent was this past Monday. So far, everything looks great. She is growing at a steady rate and even has a little hair (not as much as Ethan, but I think big brother set the bar high in that category). The ultrasound tech guessed that she will probably be around 6.5lbs when she is born. Here is a belly pic that we took last night. I have to say that I am ready for this pregnancy to end. I can't complain too much because things have been pretty easy, but I have definetly reached the point that I am ready to be done!

Two Peas in Two Pods

Well, I am nearly at 34 weeks. Feb 24 will be here before we know it! Physically, I am about ready to have this baby...but in every other way I am not ready yet! After Christmas I started sorting through clothes and other baby items and today Scott got the carseat out of the attic when he put the Christmas decorations away. We still have some rearranging to do and still need to get Ethan a big boy bed! I am sure he won't be sleeping in it by the time the new baby arrives, but I hope to at least have it set up. As I think pretty much everyone is aware, my sister-in-law, Kristy is due about a week after I am. It has been a lot fun to share the pregnancy experience with her this time around. Last week we took our "belly picture" together when we were up in North Webster.

Christmas 2009

Well, we had a great (and very busy) Christmas this year. Or should I say, last year? Ethan started to get the whole gift unwrapping thing figured out. Although, like a typical 2-year-old he was easily distracted and once he opened one thing that he liked it was tough to get him to open anything else. I am sure that will change by next year!

Ethan helping dad put his new toy together. He is a big helper!

At Grandma Pearl's house he enjoyed stacking the gifts as much as he enjoyed opening them! (I think that falls in line with the whole "favorite part of the toy is the box" thing!)

Gavin is such a cute kid! I can only hope that our baby girl will be as happy and content as he is!

Our traditional picture with our stockings. (My parents are going to need a bigger mantel to hang them all soon!)

29 (and a half) weeks!

Well, it has been a LONG time since we have had a pregnancy update. Scott and I are already falling into the trap of not taking as many pictures of child number 2! This is only our second belly pic...I think the last one was at about 12 weeks! However, as you can see, our little girl has been doing a lot of growing. She is moving and kicking like crazy...particularly when I am trying to sleep! Other than some back pain, fatigue, and increasing difficulty trying to reach my toes, the floor, etc (the usual 3rd trimester stuff), I am doing pretty well. I can't believe how quickly time is going by. To put things in perspective, if this was my pregnancy with Ethan, I would only have 7.5 weeks left!!!!

Better Late than Never...Ethan's 2nd Birthday!

It's hard to believe our little man has turned 2!!!! Thanks to our wonderful family, Ethan had a great (and very Seasme Street) birthday! He loved the cake, presents, and the BALLOONS!!!! In fact, more than 3 weeks later, a couple of the balloons are still providing entertainment in our house. I posted the pictures under the photos link, but here is a preview...

Trick or Treat?!?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Last night Ethan and Dad carved Ethan's first jack-o-lantern! Ethan had a blast...it was a great family experience! (It was also the first pumpkin Dad had ever carved by himself!) Tonight was trick-or-treating! Ethan and Dad visited about 8 houses and everyone thought he was very cute!

Ewwww! Check out all of that gooey stuff!

Are my hands dirty?

After all of the guts were cleaned out, Ethan really enjoyed scooping the pumpkin. He tried to put it all back in!

Our finished product!

Ethan playing with the pumpkin guts. Notice he is using a spoon, not his hands...he doesn't like his hands to be messy!

Not too happy about the whole costume thing.

Heading out with Dad!

The cutest shark ever!

Checking out my goodies. Maybe this whole trick-or-treating things isn't so bad after all!

By the end of the night, Ethan had figured out the whole candy thing and had confiscated our candy basket. He wasn't happy when he had to give it up so we could hand it out to other kids!

Fall Pictures

A few pics I took with Ethan in the backyard last week...
He is becoming such a big boy!

Drumroll please.....

I had my ultrasound today and it's a GIRL!!! Everything looked great on the ultrasound and in terms of size the baby is right where she is supposed to be. She currently weighs about 15 ounces, so she should be 1 pound within another week. Due date is still set for Febuary 24.

Ethan has been quite cute about the baby lately. For the past couple weeks, he has been pointing to my belly when I ask him where the baby is. But yesterday he started kissing my belly when asked about the baby!

I had to include the knee picture for daddy's sake!

Myrtle Beach

Okay, so I realize that is has been forever since I have posted anything...sorry! Life has been a little busy lately. We recently spent a week in Myrtle Beach and had a great time. Ethan loved the aquarium, the pool, the sand, the pool, the ocean...did I mention the pool? Here are a few of the highlights. I will try to get Picasa installed on our new computer soon so I can post more pics.

State Fair

Ethan and I went to the State Fair with Grandma Pearl today and Ethan had a BLAST!!! He really loved all of the animals, but he enjoyed feeding the goats most of all.

Splish Splash!

We were back at the zoo on Wednesday playing at the water park! (Oh, we also saw a couple of animals while we were there!)

Introducing....

For anyone who has not heard (and I think pretty much everyone has by now) the Lawrance family is expecting a new member in late February 2010. Here are some of the first pictures of our new little guy/gal taken on Monday.

Here is the first of what I am sure will be many belly pics of me.

Play Time!

Despite some rainy weather, we all managed to spend some time in the pool on July 4th weekend. Ethan is a little water baby!

Brotherly love....
