On the Move!

Ethan is crawling! Well, army crawling at least. This video was taken last week. This week he is working on his speed...the word "No!" makes him crawl faster!

Ethan's First Bike Ride

Ethan went for his first bike ride yesterday...although he is not sure what to think about it yet. He could not decide what to think about the big, heavy thing we put on his head!

Vacation!

We are back from a great week long trip! We left on Saturday evening and drove through the night to get to Myrtle Beach and stayed there for 5 nights. Ethan loved the beach and the pool. He is definetly a water baby!

While at Myrtle Beach we visited the Ripley's Aquarium. Scott and I called it our scuba trip! My favorite part was their "Ray Bay." They have a large tank of all different types of rays and a few small sharks that is attached to a shallow touch pool where you are allowed to pet any of the rays that come close enough. I said the chant Kristy and I were taught by Carlos in Belize..."Eagle ray, eagle ray, eagle ray," and it worked! I got to pet an eagle ray several times as it swam by. (I would have included the second part of the chant, "Turtle, turtle, turtle," but seeing as that there were no turtles in the tank I did not think it would work very well.)

On our way home we stayed one night in Cherokee, North Carolina and then spent a little bit of time in the Smokey National Park.

Nine and a half months old!

We finally went for Ethan's 9 month appointment this week and he weighed in at a heafty 20 pounds 1 ounce and 27.5 inches long! He now falls in the 25th-50th percentile on his weight. It's hard to believe this is the same baby from 9 months ago. Everyone used to comment on how little he was and now they say, "What a big boy!"
Obviously, we don't miss too many meals!
