Megan and Ethan went back to see Dr. Roscoe again yesterday for a weight check. Since at the last visit he had not gained any weight and in fact had lost some, Dr. Roscoe wanted to see him again to make sure that he was putting on some weight. Thankfully, Ethan has finally gained some weight and yesterday he was up to 5 pounds, 1 oz. Dr. Roscoe was happy with how Ethan looked and our next scheduled visit with him will not be until the two month time frame although I would bet we'll take him in again at some point for another weight check.
Ethan is starting to stay awake more and more and he is getting stronger. He is able to lift his head easier and he is able to turn from side to side easier. His umbilical cord also finally fell off and he has a nice little belly button although we can't tell yet whether he'll be an "outtie" or an "innie".

Congratulations are in order for your new son, Ethan Charles! What a perfect little dude. Theo John and I are looking forward to meeting the newest Lawrance... so Theo and Ethan are first cousins once removed?-- I think that's the correct title. Anyhoo...Ethan is a beautiful baby. :)

Thanks for the comment and I'm not sure how the once, twice removed thing works, but we're all family how about that. I can't wait until Christmas and hopefully we can get these two together sometime.

The "removed" has to do with generations. So if Erin and Scott are first cousins, then Theo and Ethan are second cousins. Erin and Ethan would be 1st cousins once removed. (But I don't know John and Erin, so I'm not sure how you all are related...)
